Goals > Resolutions
Firstly, welcome to 2018! You made it to a new year and that’s something to be proud of.
Secondly, I have New Years Goals because Goals are greater than Resolutions. Allow me to explain:
Usually (with the exception of last year) I, like everyone else, set New Year’s Resolutions. And usually, like everyone else, I give up somewhere between February and March. This year though will be different. A resolution seems so daunting and once I mess up on that decision, I feel as though I can’t continue. However, when I switch my mind frame to it being a goal, I know that you can “fail” several times before accomplishing that goal. I am mentally allowing myself room for error because I know that I can continue to work toward the desired result even if I mess up.
New Year’s Goals:
- Become a better runner and run a 5K
- Write more blog posts
- Stop overthinking and execute
- Stop frivolous spending and save money
- Create an LLC
I’d love to hear what are you guys New Year’s goals or resolutions. Drop a comment down below and let's encourage each other to keep going, even when we mess up.
