Parkview Baptist School Senior Photo Session | Jackson T.

This past month, I had the opportunity to photograph a pretty cool Parkview Baptist School Senior. We took photos in Downtown Baton Rouge, Parkview Baptist School, and Independence Park. Overall there were a total of 4 -ish outfits and I believe these came out really well.

The senior for this session is Jackson T. I actually work with his mom and she asked if I would interested in taking Jackson’s senior photos. I agreed of course and we planned out the photo sesson.

Traditional Outfits in Downtown Baton Rouge

We started the photo session in a traditional senior outfit in Downtown Baton Rouge. This area has some pretty photogenic locations like the area around the pier and the leavee. We also took some photos around the River Center to catch the iconic Mississippi River Bridge also known as the Horace Wilkinson Bridge.

The second outfit leneded itself to some different locations. These locations included the train tracks for a classic senior look. We also moved toward the town square and Old Louisiana State Capitol. The iron gate, flowers, and library provided an interesting background element to these photos.

Baseball Uniform at Parkview Baptist

We ended this shoot day at the baseball field at Parkview Baptist School. Jackson has played pitcher and thrid base and we wanted to capture some action shots of him playing baseball. We also took some more posed and traditional portraits of him in uniform. The action shots of Jackson hitting and catching the ball are some of my favorite.

Traditional Outfits at Independence Park

After realzing that Jackson’s hair had changed, his mother requested another short photo session to get some updated photos. This time we went to Independence Park near the Main Public Libary in Baton Rouge. These photos are bright and airy and really represent the spring time.

About halfway through this session, Jackson pulled out his senior letterman jacket to round out the full senior photo session look. The bright reds and blues of Parkview Baptist really stand out and make these photos pop.

Final Thoughts

Overall, these were some of my favorite photos I’ve taken recently. I actually don’t photograph many seniors (help me change that). Whenever I do get to work with seniors, I love getting to know them and hear about their plans for after school.

If you know a senior, high school or college, who is interested in photos, send them my way. I would love to help document this special moment in their life.
