EA High School + RPCC Grad Photo Session | Sydney

When Sydney reached out about a graduate photo session, her initial message mentioned that her situation was unique. Once we spoke on the phone, she informed me that she was double graduating with her high school diploma from East Ascension High School AND an associates degree from River Parish Community College! As the conversation continued I could hear the excitement in her voice and I knew that this was going to be a fun photo session.

The Track Star

Sydney’s session started with some sports themed photos. She wanted to document her accomplishments on the track field so we got to work. Intense close up images and action shots will serve as reminder of Sydney’s dedication to her high school sport.

Sydney also mentioned that she threw the javelin. She is actually nationally ranked in javelin and wanted to capture the “C” that javelin participants strive to achieve when making their throw.

The Baller

You would think that with the academic achievements of double graduating that Sydney would only have time for 1 sport. You would be wrong because she also managed to play basketball. Without making a complete outfit change, she slung on the jersey and showed me some moves only a true point guard would know. She’s got a mean cross over.

Casually Graduating

We wrapped up our time at East Ascension High School with some casual portraits of Sydney standing in front of the school building. She opted for a more casual look at first to show off her unique style and personality. It’s so important when documenting senior photos that their personality shine through, and I believe we accomplished that as Sydney donned her Chuck Taylors and carefree attitude.

Classy Community College Grad

Sydney’s Senior Session (try saying that 3 times fast) concluded at River Parish Community College. In her final classy outfit we documented a few spots on campus that were special and a bit scenic. Sydney told us stories about going to school there and her plans for after graduation.

I didn’t know Sydney before this session, but I am so proud of her and her accomplishments. We had a lot of fun and I believe the photos we captured are true to Sydney and her unique senior experience.

Senior photo sessions should be a reflection of the senior’s personality and their unique school experience. We can capture the safe shots, but we also want the photos to serve as a reminder of who that person was during their time at school.

If you’re interested in a senior photo session, please reach out. We would love to help document and tell your story.
