East Ascension High School Prom Photos at Jambalaya Park in Gonzales | Layla + Chase

East Ascension High School’s prom took place on Saturday, March 19th. Before the festivities began, couples could be seen all around the area taking prom photos. I was hired to take photos of Layla + Chase before their senior prom.

After discussing location options with Layla’s mom we decided to take the photos at Jambalaya Park in Gonzales, not far from where the prom was held.

We started the session with single shots of Layla. She wore a beautiful burgundy dress with sparkling gold shoes and gold accessories.

Chase arrived shortly after and I photographed him gracing Layla with a lovely corsage.

He wore a blue suit with burgundy accents in his vest and bow tie.

Their outfits went really well together (obviously).

There were 4 main scenes in the park in which we photographed. Layla’s solo shots were taken at the main entrance to the. park and near the pillars towards the center of the park.

Chase met us at the butterfly garden wall to take the initial couple photos. We then moved to the wooden bridge walkway area to finish out the couple shots and Chase’s solo photos.

I’ve mentioned it before, but Jambalaya Park in Gonzales is one of my favorite places in the area to take photos because it is so versatile!

Overall, we had a wonderful time capturing Layla and Chase before they went to their senior prom. Check out some of the photos below!
